Privacy policy

You can read all of That Home Feeling without an account, and we never ask for your name or email address. This page explains what is still collected when you visit, and how you can limit it.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages people read and how they find the site. It records things like the pages you view, the site that sent you here, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. Google handles this data under its privacy policy, and it explains how it uses data from sites like ours.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_BEJKW4J4N9. They let it tell one visitor from another and one visit from the next, and they can last up to two years. We don't set any other cookies on our own pages.

To limit this, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare, which handles every request and may process your IP address to deliver and protect the site. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, which doesn't set cookies. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Retailer and Pinterest links

Links to retailers such as Amazon, Wayfair, Etsy and Target take you to their sites. We add a label to those links that shows which guide you clicked from, and the retailer may set its own cookies to credit us with a sale. Product thumbnails load directly from the retailer, so the retailer can see your IP address when a guide with thumbnails opens. Each retailer's own privacy policy applies. Pinterest save links open Pinterest in your browser. We don't load Pinterest's scripts on our pages.

Selling data and ads

We don't sell your information, and we don't show ads on the site.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete personal data held about you, or to object to how it's used. Because we don't collect names or email addresses, we generally can't match analytics records to a particular person.

Children

This site is written for adults setting up their homes, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
